About Dr. Mariam Khater
Dr. Mariam Khater is a highly experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with over two decades of expertise in speech and language therapy, specializing in communication disorders, autism intervention, and audiological rehabilitation. She is the Founder and Director of Phoneme Abilities Development Center and currently practices at Talking Brain Centre (TBC) in Dubai, UAE.
Holding a PhD in Language & Communication Science from City, University of London, Dr. Khater has made significant contributions to research on speech development in Gulf Arabic-speaking children. She has also served as a Visiting Faculty at UAE University and worked with prestigious organizations such as the Mohammad bin Rashid Center and Hamad Medical Corporation.
Her extensive training includes specialized certifications in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), and early intervention programs like the Lidcombe Program for stuttering and the Hanen Program for autism.
